Hirai Mong's old name was Gama which had been here for about 3 years on this block of St. Mark's Place.
Hirai is an homage to a Japanese musician because this area has been called as "Little Tokyo" of "Japan Town", Mong is 'Dream' in Chinese because we are serving the fusion cuisine of Korean-Chinese food.
