Abitino Family History
Mario and Anna Abitino immigrated to the US from Naples, Italy in 1972. Having brought their Italian traditions and secret family recipes, Mario started in the pizza business in Brooklyn, NY in 1974. Through hard work and struggles Mario, Anna and their three sons Dominick, Mario Jr. and Salvatore started Abitino's Pizza and Italian Kitchen in 1992 in Midtown Manhattan. Throughout the years Abitino's Pizza has opened other locations throughout Manhattan and can also be found at John F. Kennedy International Airport in the American Airlines Terminal 8.
Our Mission
We are committed to serving authentic Italian dishes including pastas, fresh salads, sandwiches and more. At Abitino's we take pride in serving customers with fresh ingredients prepared daily. Dough is made on premises and our tomato sauce is prepared with San Marzano tomatoes imported from Naples, Italy. This is why Abitino's Pizza is "The only Pizza worth eating"™.
We provide friendly service with great food in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Since we are family owned and operated there is a good chance you will find an Abitino family member present at one of our locations.
